Making trainers from ocean plastic

Adidas and Parley wanted an experiential idea that helped to tell the story of how they are using recycled ocean plastic to create desirable sportswear.

The story of ‘threat to thread’ was brought to life with a sculptural installation cum pop-up shop in a derelict swimming pool in East London.

This is an ongoing collaboration between Adidas and Iris Worldwide.

Adidas have collaborated with Parley to produce a range of footwear and swimwear made using recycled ocean plastic. They asked us to create an experiential piece for them to help tell the story.

The aim was to create a magical experience using the same recycled Parley thread that Adidas use to create their apparel.

An installation on a grand scale that would be an immersive experience as well as cool hang out. The most ‘instagrammable’ place in London.

We found an artist whose work captures the spirit of the idea.
